Rating Scale

Instead of using a traditional 10/10 rating system, I'm going to give my rating in my own terms as follows:

Sugoi! (It's Amazing!)

This anime kept my attention the entire time. The story was paced well, and avoided losing me even during exposition or story/world building. The characters are enjoyable, and whether I hated or loved them, I thought they were fleshed out. All the elements come together and each episode leaves me waiting for the next.

Daijobu (It's Okay)

This anime was interesting, but at times I found myself checking my phone or otherwise distracted. There are likely slow parts of the story that don't engage or serve to further the story, just existing for the moment. The main characters are built well, but surrounding characters serve to weigh down the story unless they pertain directly to the main character. Some elements of the story serve no purpose, and add extra drag to the story.

Dame! (Not Good!)

This anime didn't really have a story or characters to carry it. The plot is bland, and other anime have done the same thing but better. Story points and characters are introduced for no reason other than to fill space. Continuing to watch the anime feels more like a chore than it does something I do for enjoyment.
